上野焼は福岡県田川郡香春町、福智町、大任町で焼かれる陶器。遠州七窯の一つ。4月に陶器まつりが行われている。

特徴：陶器としては薄く軽い。多種におよぶ釉薬。絵付けはあまり行われない。

主な歴史：1602年／細川忠興が小倉藩主になったとき、朝鮮人陶工の金尊楷を招き築窯したことに始まる。1632年／尊楷が八代に移った後も子孫が上野焼を継承した。1800年代／多くの釉薬が開発され上野焼の特徴になる。1902年／明治維新後一時的に途絶えたが、熊谷九八郎らによって復興する。1983年／国の伝統的工芸品に指定。
Agano ware is fired in Tagawa-gun Kawara, Fukuchi, Oto towns, Fukuoka Prefecture. One of seven kilns Enshu. Pottery Festival has been held in April.

History include: 1602 / When Tadaoki Hosokawa became Ogura lord, Kim Sonkai Korean potter was invited and began after built his own kiln. 1632 / Sonkai moved Yashiro, but descendants inherited Agano ware. 1800s / Agano ware's features have been developed a lot of glaze. 1902 / Temporarily ceased after the Meiji Restoration. But revive the Agano ware by Kuhachiro Kumagae and others. 1983 / designated traditional crafts of the country.
